Chipping Norton Choral Society, with the Cheltenham Chamber Orchestra, will be performing Elgar’s The Music Makers and Vaughan Williams’s Dona Nobis Pacem conducted by Peter Hunt in their December concert.

Tickets will also be available at Jaffe & Neale Bookshop in Chipping Norton nearer to the concert date, or on the door. More information about Chipping Norton Choral Society can be found here

Free Basketball Taster Session

Desta Rudder-Smith is a former Oxford Hoops and Reading Rockets star turned coach. This session is for anyone from West Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds and surrounding areas who is over the age of 11.

The session is for girls, boys and adults who are interested in developing their skills alongside a former championship basketball player. Desta is also looking for potential players for new  teams for a Basketball Club based in Chipping Norton, regardless of ability.

Christmas Candledlit Meditations

For a quiet and relaxing festive event why not join this meditation evening, which is being held in aid of ‘Young Minds’  a charity who support young people and their families through mental illness.
You can enjoy a this beautiful candlelit evening in the stunning Yoga Studio at Daylesford.  We will start with some gentle yoga movements and breathing practises in preparation for the meditations to calm and soothe the mind during the days leading to Christmas.

Good Neighbours’ Afternoon Tea

The Good Neighbours project are continuing to host Thursday afternoon teas between 2.30 and 4 p.m. in Autumn 2018. Please note that the venue has changed  from the Methodist schoolroom to St Nicholas Church in Chadlington.

Everyone is welcome – meet up with old friends, make new friends. We look forward to seeing you for a cup of tea and a piece of cake.

There is no charge for refreshments but a donation would be very welcome. Please let the organisers know if you require transport by calling 07541 235002

‘A Roman, A Bishop and a Saint’ guided walk

'A Roman, A Bishop and a Saint' guided walk @ Leafield Green, Leafield | England | United Kingdom

 

This ‘moderate’ walk of ten miles will take a figure of eight route from Leafield to Ramsden and Finstock using ancient tracks and byways.

The walk will be led by Janet Deller and Margaret Burden. There could be a possible pub lunch stop, dependent on timing but please take a packed lunch in case there is not time to stop.
