Ladies Football training

A new ladies football club has been set up in Chadlington and regular training is being offered  with coaching from FA Level 2 Coach, Alfie Peachey. The club has also entered the Womens Summer League which will be played on the 3G pitches at Littlemore, Oxford.

Everyone is welcome to come along to watch or join in whether you’ve played before or not.

This is a great way to keep fit, make new friends and develop new skills.

Remember to bring suitable footwear for this time of year on grass!

A walk of 2-3 miles to see wild flowers followed by a drink at the Swan. We hope to see bats on the river Windrush and will be searching for glow worms in Swinbrook churchyard.

Bring a torch and wear suitable footwear.

Dean and Chadlington Summer Music Festival

Dean and Chadlington Summer Music Festival @ Various near Chadlington

The full programme has been confirmed and it includes an opera evening with supper at Cafe de la Post and a Gala concert at Ditchley Park.

There will be three events in St Nicholas Church in Chadlington, a virtuoso pianist on the Friday evening, the Festival singing competition from 1 p.m. on Sunday and an evening concert on the Sunday evening.

Good Neighbours’ Afternoon Tea

The Good Neighbours project are continuing to host Thursday afternoon teas in 2017 in the Methodist schoolroom in Chadlington between 2.30 and 4 pm.

Everyone is welcome – meet up with old friends, make new friends. We look forward to seeing you for a cup of tea and a piece of cake.

There is no charge for refreshments but a donation would be very welcome. Please let the organisers know if you require transport by calling 07541 235002

Wine will be available at £1 per glass.

Charlbury Beer Festival & World Aunt Sally Championship

There will be 50+ real ales on offer as well as a wide range of other drinks, including non-alcoholic beverages. Entertainment will include live music all day, children’s entertainment, the 7th World Singles Aunt Sally Championships and a Culture Club tent.

There is still time to enter for the Championships, with a first prize of £200 and the trophy, the Finings Cup. The Beer Festival attracts around 3,000 people and is believed to be the largest independent festival in the country.
