Have your say – housing needs and local planning consultation

Chadlington Parish Council wishes to publicise the following consultation by West Oxfordshire District Council. Note the closing date is 5pm Friday 26 August

West Oxfordshire Local Plan – Housing Needs Evidence

As you will be aware the West Oxfordshire Local Plan examination was suspended earlier in the year to allow for additional work on housing numbers and sites to be carried out.

As part of this process the Council has commissioned independent consultants Peter Brett Associates to prepare new evidence on housing need in the form of a partial update of the Oxfordshire Strategic Housing Market Assessment (2014). Their report is available to view online via the following link:

We wrote to stakeholders on 15 July advising that the report had been published and inviting views until 12th August however it has come to light that not all emails were properly received.

As such we are extending the period for comments until 5pm Friday 26th August 2016.

If you would like to provide us with any comments please email: planning.policy@westoxon.gov.uk

Or write to:

Planning Policy Team,

It is important to note that at this point in time no decision has been made by the Council on its proposed housing requirement.

The Peter Brett report is simply a piece of technical evidence that will be taken into account, together with any responses received before a final decision on the housing requirement is reached.

If you have any specific queries regarding the Peter Brett report or the Local Plan in general please email the address above or telephone 01993 861686.

Yours faithfully

Chris Hargraves
