Ever thought about becoming a county councillor?


Prospective Councillors open evening  Wednesday, 14 September 2016 from 7.00pm – 9.00pm at County Hall, New Road, Oxford

This event will give you an overview of the county councillor role and the work of the county council ahead of the May 2017 county councillor elections.


7.00pm    Welcome and Introduction

7.10pm    Presentation on how members are elected, the role of a county councillor and the support provided by Oxfordshire County Council once members are elected

7.30pm    A Panel of current county councillors will be taking part in a chaired discussion about the role of a county councillor.

Followed by a question and answer session

8.30pm    Networking Opportunity

Political Group Leaders and senior council officers will be present for a networking opportunity. Ask questions about council services and find out more about the business of the Council.
