More improvements to recycling service

West Oxfordshire District Council have announced that householders can now use thin plastic bags and carrier bags to line the waste food caddies that they put out for collection every week. This rubbish is now taken to the Anaerobic Digester at Cassington for recycling, where the liner bags can be extracted and sent to an Energy Recovery Facility. Here they are incinerated and transformed into energy.

For more information about waste and recycling in the area, or to order a free food waste bin and kitchen caddy. call 01993 861025 or visit the council website
