Message in a Bottle or your wallet

Vulnerable people and their carers can take up a clever idea being promoted by a project run by Witney Lions to ensure that the Emergency Services can immediately see vital information, should they need to help them in an emergency.

The scheme has been in place for about 15 years and involves a small plastic bottle with a green cross on it being kept  in a person’s fridge with their up to date medical details and contact information in it. A sticker on the inside of the front door alerts emergency service staff to look in the fridge. A special card in someone’s wallet can also be used with the same information.

For more information on how to obtain the bottle or card provided by the Lions charity and what to put in/on it, please visit their website The service is free of charge and is open to everybody.
