Mobile Post Office service

Regular users will have been concerned that the mobile post office that serves the village was not available for a couple of weeks due to ‘software issues’. It was reported by one local resident on the Chadlington Community Facebook page that the problem was a national one but the Post Office Customer Care department were unable to provide any further information. In fact, they asked the Editor if she had seen the van recently!

An enquiry from the Editor to the Evesham mobile post office branch (which is operated as a private business I discovered) was responded to by Jonathan Bumphrey, who said “Our computers were due to be upgraded. After being installed the software went offline. Post Office IT helpdesk took 10 days to find a solution”. Fingers crossed that the system now works and please use the service, or we may lose it altogether.
