Full Fibre Broadband coming to Chadlington – but don’t hold your breath!

West Oxfordshire District Council and the Government’s broadband agency BDUK are investing in the programme of connecting households and businesses contracted to Gigaclear. They will be working in the district over the next two years to install the new technology which will allow speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps (1Gps); enabling a full range of internet activities, from video conferencing to up and downloading music and streaming films without buffering.

However, before you get too excited about the prospects of modern on-line activity finally being possible in the village, bear in mind that Chadlington is in the last tranche of installment, so we will not have access to full fibre broadband until the end of next year (2019). For more information, see the company’s website
