Many thanks and ‘farewell’ to Brian

The Parish Council were sad to bid ‘farewell’ to Brian Hamblin at this week’s meeting, accepting his resignation with a heavy heart. Many thanks are due to him for keeping our playground and other public areas in good order, making available the handy torches for emergencies and knowing so much about potholes and gullies that when we call on the local authorities for repairs we can communicate exactly what needs to be done.

But the good news for the village is that although Brain will no longer be a Parish Councillor, he will be carrying on as a volunteer looking after the playground and advising the council on other maintenance and technical matters. Brain was on the council for seven years and was the Chairman before Howard Rowley. His resignation will open a vacancy for a new Councillor which will be advertised soon.
