Chadlington’s Christmas Artweeks Events

Need a warm and colourful boost to counteract the winter gloom and chilly temperatures? Christmas Artweeks Events are well under way in and around the village, and continue this weekend and into December, at Sandy’s House, Bull Hill (see above) and also continue this weekend and the following weekend with Jill Colchester’s Floribunda: Paintings and drawings of flowers, (see below) at her studio at Cob Cottage, Chapel Road.

This is a wonderful opportunity to see just a taste of the artistic talent in and around the village, and to support the artists who are working hard to present a wide range of exhibits across the sites.

The artists exhibiting at Sandy’s House offer not only gifts, cards and paintings to view and purchase–but plants, bulbs, ceramics–and mulled wine to warm you up a little.

Organisers promise ‘amazing art in wonderful places: expect the unexpected, be inspired, diverted and delighted – and come home with a unique artwork of your own.’

Artweeks events ‘offer the opportunity to meet artists in a wide range of interesting places, talk about their work, watch demonstrations and maybe have a go yourself. Or simply feast your eyes on a huge range of creative activity, from painting, photography, textiles, sculpture and ceramics, to furniture, glass, mosaics, jewellery, digital art and much more. Visiting our galleries will give you a sample of the vibrant art and design on show.’

More details on the calendar in this website, in the window display at Chadlington Quality Foods and in the printed guides –and on posters around the village.
