Night Owls could see spectacular ‘Blood Moon’

At last, a benefit to being awake in the early hours! On Monday, 21st January there will be a total eclipse of the Moon between 02.35 and 06.50 a.m.; with the complete lunar eclipse phase between 04.41 and 05.13 a.m. At this point the Moon will be completely covered by the Earth, so it will seem to be a blood red colour.

It might be worth setting the alarm to witness this amazing natural phenomenon – but only if the forecast is for a clear night.
