Latest Sporting News from Chadlington School

Jonathan Harris-Bass has provided the Editor with a sporting update from Chadlington, as the school belied its numbers, and showed extraordinary prowess on both the rugby field and athletics track.
This year has been one of sporting excellence from the children at Chadlington, and this continued before half term in the rearranged rugby tournament played at Chipping Norton Rugby club. Tag rugby is one of the few sports in the annual calendar that sees boys and girls compete together, and there was a wonderful camaraderie on show as all those clad in green came together and dominated the small schools competition, winning all of their matches to pick up the top prize. Specially commended for their performance were Edie Chuard and Henri Knobel.
Then on to the Athletics at Chipping Norton School just before the half term break, and pairs of boys and girls went to represent the school at Year 4, Year 5, and Year 6 level – competing in the 75m sprint, 300m ‘long distance’, Standing Long Jump, and Vortex throw, once again Chadlington dominated the Small Schools competition, winning each individual age group, and the overall prize as well.
So, thus far this year, Chadlington really are proving to be the Victor Ludorum.
