New plastics ‘swap shop’

You may have noticed that there are now two metal mesh containers inside the wall of the Memorial Hall, next to the car park. These have been installed with the agreement of the Parish Council, by a local resident who is concerned that the village ‘does its bit’ in trying to reduce our use of plastic by reusing and recycling items made of this material as much as possible.

So please make the effort to drop off plastics, garden pots and seed trays or plastic household items, such as buckets, watering cans etc. when you no longer need them. Also, feel free to take any items that have been left that will save you buying new ones.

Please only place sound items in these containers and be sensible in not leaving large items or too many items so that the containers have no room for anyone else to leave their unwanted plastic. Thank you.
