Methodist Chapel will be available to community

The working group (Lyndsay Winpenny, Claire Bradshaw, Zoë Townsend and Nina Morgan) who have been leading efforts to secure a one year trial of opening the Methodist Chapel in Chadlington  to community use have been successful. They attended a Methodist Circuit meeting on 21 October  where it was agreed that the project should go ahead. The group is now waiting to hear further details of the terms and conditions on which the Chapel use might be offered. Meanwhile, they are exploring the legal and fundraising challenges that will need to be addressed.

They are also interested to receive suggestions from groups and individuals about how best use could be made of the building in the centre of Chadlington.  They would like to create a Community Hub that complements, rather than competes, with the other community facilities in Chadlington such as the Memorial Hall, the Sports and Social Club and the Bowls club.   All suggestions are welcome. Please email your ideas to nina.morgan@cooptel.net You can also use this e-mail to join their mailing list so that you are kept up to date with progress on this project.
