Curdle Hill Farmshop plan approved

West Oxfordshire District Council’s Uplands Planning Committee have approved the amended application for a lambing shed and farmshop on the land north-west of Chipping Norton Road, near the Caravan Park, which forms part of Curdle Hill Farm. As reported in this month’s edition of Chipping Norton News, this farm is now owned by Jeremy Clarkson and the plan is part of Mr Clarkson’s current production of a new television programme about his farming activities.

Chadlington Parish Council did not object to the application, although they are concerned about the proposed use of an access point right next to the busy caravan site and near the dangerous junction with the A361. They also commented that any filming at the site should be farming related and the farmshop should only be selling local produce, including that grown on the farm.
