Chadlington 5km Challenge for NHS

Greg Kemp, of Chadlington Football Club has let the Editor know of a great fundraising effort in the village. Over the past few weeks the Sports Club have been raising money for the NHS Charities Together Covid-19 appeal. This appeal is to help NHS staff and volunteers working so hard to keep us all safe.
We set up a 5km Challenge and encouraged our players to run, walk or cycle 5km in their Chadlington kit, take a photo and donate to our Just Giving page.
We had a great response from our football First Team, Reserves, Womens and Veterans. The Cricket Team and members of the sports club committee also joined in. A total of 73 people took part and covered an over all distance of 460km!
A few old faces such as club footballing legends Paul Catling and Liam Didcock also joined in and we were very grateful for donations from people in the village also.
Their JustGiving page is still open here
So please give a donation if you can.
Fingers crossed that activities at the Sports Club can recommence soon but there will certainly be a need for the village to help us recover!
