The Saltway and Ditchley Park guided walk @ Ditchley Park Gate, near Kiddington, Enstone, OX7 4EX | England | United Kingdom

This ‘moderate’ walk of five and a half miles is a circular walk exploring the eastern border of the Cotswolds AONB and part of Ditchley Park; wartime retreat of Prime Minister Winston Churchill. Winston Churchill used the house as a weekend retreat during WW2.

Lunch opportunities in Charlbury afterwards.

Reach start point from Charlbury via B4437 and Ditchley Road signed off near the primary school,

We will explore part of the Saltway, an ancient drove road and local nature reserve. It is straddled by the Ditchley estate, once home to the Lee [later Lee-Dillon] family and visited by Queen Elizabeth I.
