The full programme is now in place and it includes an opera evening with supper at The Old Shed in Charlbury and a Gala concert at Ditchley Park.

The Friday evening Jazz event will be at St Nicholas Church in Chadlington and the Festival singing competition on Sunday with a twilight concert on the Sunday evening at Spelsbury Church.

Good Neighbours’ Afternoon Tea

The Good Neighbours project are continuing to host Thursday afternoon teas between 2.30 and 4 p.m. in 2019.

Everyone is welcome – meet up with old friends, make new friends. We look forward to seeing you for a cup of tea and a piece of cake.

There is no charge for refreshments but a donation would be very welcome. Please let the organisers know if you require transport by calling 07541 235002

Free family-friendly music festival in an idyllic setting with over 40 acts playing a broad range of music across 4 stages. There will also be a variety of other attractions and tempting refreshments. Be there or be square!

This unique outdoor event has been planned to celebrate 50 years since Apollo 11’s landing on the moon. Between 8 and 9.30 p.m. there will be a concert featuring the Stratford Festival Orchestra and a choir with music inspird by the moon and stars. Chipping Norton Astronomy Society will have their powerful telescopes set up so that everyone can view the night sky – if the night is clear. There will be a licensed bar, toilet facilities and you can bring a picnic.

‘In search of Old Mont’ guided walk

This ‘easy’ circular walk of 4 miles will start from Enstone and take a route through Fulwell and Clevely visiting paces associated with ‘Old Mont’ Abott , Enstone carter and shepherd, made famous by Shiela Stewart’s book “Lifting the Latch”.

The walk will be guided by Tony Graeme, a voluntary warden for the AONB.

‘Adelstrop and Chastleton’ guided walk

This ‘easy’ walk starts from the poetic village of Adelstrop to the Iron Age Fort on Chastleton Hill and the Jacobean Manor House in Chastleton village. The route offers great views of the Evenlode Valley and the Costwold escarpment. If the weather is clear it may be possible to see Broadway Tower.

The walk will be guided by Anne Martis, a voluntary warden for the AONB.
