Chadlington Lunch Club

The Chadlington Lunch Club meets once a month at the Memorial Hall in Chapel Road. The Club is open to older senior citizens and offers a tasty hot lunch in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Donations towards the cost of providing the lunch are gratefully accepted but entirely voluntary. No need to contact anyone before coming along, just turn up, except for the Xmas lunch which needs to be booked in advance.

Chipping Norton Mop Fair

Good Neighbours’ Afternoon Tea

The Good Neighbours project are continuing to host Thursday afternoon teas between 2.30 and 4 p.m. throughout the Autumn and in to Winter 2019.

Everyone is welcome – meet up with old friends, make new friends. We look forward to seeing you for a cup of tea and a piece of cake.

There is no charge for refreshments but a donation would be very welcome. Please let the organisers know if you require transport by calling 07541 235002

The organisers of this family fun run are calling all runners, joggers and walkers, whatever your age or ability, sign up for the return of the ever popular Cornbury Classic. Set in the idyllic grounds of Cornbury Estate, they’d love you to come along and help raise funds for Finstock and Leafield Primary Schools, together with the Oxford Hospitals Charity.

Runners have taken part from all over Oxfordshire and they are hoping to attract even more participants this year as it remains a popular run for all ability of runners and age groups.

The one-mile children’s race is again a circuit course, carefully manned by a large number of encouraging marshals who are set to inspire, cheer and point everyone in the right direction.

All finishers receive medals and winners of their categories will receive trophies. There are spot-prizes, cakes, bacon sarnies and hot drinks.

U3A Open Afternoon

Everyone is welcome to find out more about our local U3A groups. There will be coffee/tea and cake free to all-comers.

The Third Age refers to the period of life when full time work is over and there is time to meet new friends, follow hobbies and interests and explore new ones. It is a charitable organisation, which has been established for over thirty years and now has over 425,000 members and more than 1,039 local branches.

This local University of the Third Age group runs over 20 special interest programmes, ranging from architecture to watercolour painting, through Italian conversation and social cycling. There’s something for everyone and an opportunity to meet with like-minded people.
