Bus Services

Chadlington is served by Bus Services S3 (Stagecoach) and X9 (Pulhams). In Chipping Norton there is normally a volunteer run bus serving the town centre, Aldi, Costcutter, the Co-op and the new Health Centre.

X9 Services

The X9 route runs from Witney to Chipping Norton via Charlbury. It is run by Pulhams Coaches . During the Corona virus emergency they are asking passengers to only make essential journeys. There is a reduced service from Chadlington (opposite Cafe de la Post) to Chipping Norton, with the first bus leaving at 09.38 and to Witney at 08.08. The journey to Chipping Norton takes 10 minutes and to Witney (Sainsbury’s supermarket) about half an hour.

From Chipping Norton, West Street stop, the first bus to Chadlington leaves at 08.00. From Witney (Buttercross) the first bus to Chadlington 09.00.

There are no evening or Sunday bus services to and from Chadlington on this route.  For full details see temporary timetable.

S3 Services

The S3 route usually runs from Chipping Norton via Charlbury and Woodstock to Oxford and provides a morning and evening Commuter Service to Chadlington. However, during the Corona virus emergency temporary S3 bus timetable are in force, which do not include a stop in Chadlington, except for the early bus 06.19 opposite Café de la Post going into Charlbury, Woodstock and Oxford Rail Station. There is an evening return journey at 19.15 from Oxford Rail Station, arriving Chadlington at 2028.

Chipping Norton Town Bus

This bus is not operating during the Corona virus emergency.

Oxford Park and Ride services

These services do not serve Chadlington directly but the new 500 Park and Ride buses do travel between Oxford rail station, the city centre, Oxford Parkway station and Woodstock. The journey from Woodstock to Oxford Parkway takes about 15 to 20 minutes and trains from Parkway to Marylebone take about an hour. Trains from Oxford Parkway also run to Birmingham and the West Midlands. This service is operating a temporary timetable during the Corona virus emergency.
